McMaster's Risk Management Manuals (RMMs) are a collection of documents outlining McMaster's safety programs. Each document outlines the responsibilities with respect to the hazard. The supervisor is expected to read through the programs and implement the ones which pertain to their research within their own laboratory.
The Presidential Biosafety Advisory Committee (PBAC) has instituted a system of implementation directives (PIDs) which function to enable users to implement new or changed legislations and policies. This system supports efficient and transparent administration and management of issues related to Biosafety and Biosecurity while at the same time providing end users with direction.
